Rockhill, a nine-year 4-H member, is the son of Doug and Lisa Rockhill. He has been involved in beef, swine, sheep, horticulture and dairy projects. He received the “Spirit of 4-H” Award and the 4-H Merit Award. He also served as president of his local club and participated in the county 4-H council.
“My experience in 4-H has helped me develop the confidence to be a better leader in my school, church and community,” Rockhill said. “It has helped to foster my interest in animal breeding and is why I chose the agriculture production career path.”
A recent graduate of Central Lyon High School, Rockhill plans to attend Iowa Lakes Community College – Emmetsburg with a major in agricultural production technology.
