Appanoose County 4-H Member Receives Pioneer Community College Scholarship
AMES, Iowa – A $500 scholarship has been awarded to an Appanoose County 4-H member. Ethan Brinegar, Moulton, received a Pioneer Community College 4-H Scholarship sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc.
Brinegar, a nine-year 4-H member, is the son of Sharon Hopkins-Brinegar and Lyle Brinegar. He has been involved in poultry, sheep, beef and hog projects. He received awards for poultry and photography. Brinegar served as reporter, photographer and president of the activities committee for his local 4-H club. He also participated in county 4-H council and the Citizenship-Washington Focus.
“I believe that I can credit my leadership, citizenship and service qualities to my wonderful experience in 4-H,” Brinegar said.
A recent graduate of Moulton-Udell High School, Brinegar plans on attending Indian Hills Community College, majoring in agricultural engineering.
