Dallas County 4-H Member Receives LA-CO Circle of Champions Scholarship

AMES, Iowa – A $1,000 scholarship has been awarded to a Dallas County 4-H member. Brandon Wilson, Redfield, has received the LA-CO Circle of Champion’s Scholarship sponsored by LA-CO.
Wilson, a nine-year member, is the son of Dennis and Carolyn Wilson and has been involved in the beef, leadership, citizenship, science and technology and sheep project areas. He has also been a member of the county 4-H council, county youth committee, area 4-H council and state 4-H council, and has attended the Citizenship-Washington Focus and Iowa 4-H Youth Conference. In his 4-H club Wilson has served as president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.
“4-H has given me an opportunity to meet new people that will be life-long friends and colleagues,” he said. “It has also helped me to develop leadership, citizenship and communication skills.”
A recent graduate of West Central Valley High School, Wilson plans to attend Iowa State University and pursue agronomy and agricultural education.
