Story County 4-H Member Receives Ellsworth Community College Scholarship

AMES, Iowa - A $750 scholarship has been awarded to a Story County 4-H member. Niome Zeisneiss, Nevada, has received the Ellsworth Community College 4-H Scholarship sponsored by the Iowa 4-H Foundation.

Zeisneiss, a nine-year 4-H member, is the daughter of Clark and Robin Zeisneiss. She has been involved in horse, pony, goat and dog projects and served as the treasurer and historian of her 4-H club.

“4-H has helped me in the choosing of my career because 4-H gives you the experience of learning, helping and teaching others and yourself something new,” she said.

A recent high school graduate, Zeisneiss will attend Ellsworth Community College and major in equine management.

In Iowa, the 4-H program is a part of Iowa State University Extension and headquartered on the ISU campus in Ames. For more information about 4-H, how to get involved or how to apply for a 4-H scholarship, contact the local county office of ISU Extension.
