Elmore on midpoint of 2008 crop season -- ISU Extension corn agronomist Roger Elmore looks at the 2008 crop season at the midpoint. He says despite many obstacles the corn crop still can produce good yields, but the weather needs to be nearly perfect.
Lawrence on feed costs -- ISU Extension livestock economist and director of the Iowa Beef Center John Lawrence says high feed costs have cut profits for many of Iowa’s livestock producers.
Taylor on community relocation after floods -- Gary Taylor, ISU Extension specialist and assistant professor in the ISU Department of Community and Regional Planning, says FEMA is working with many communities on relocation programs. However, there may be more requests than money available.
Johnston on flood remediation issues -- ISU professor/chair of the Department of Community and Regional Planning and Landscape Architecture Doug Johnston says when talking about remediation issues you have to look at the entire watershed rather than just flooded areas of the state.
