Story County 4-H’er Earns Communication Project Award



AMES, Iowa – Molly Foley of Story County received a state 4-H communication project award that includes a $100 savings bond from the Mary Jo and Glen Mente Endowment and the Iowa 4-H Foundation. Foley, 15, is the daughter of Leonard and Patricia Foley of Huxley.


During her five years in 4-H, Foley has completed several major projects including communication, sheep, beef, horse and food and nutrition. She has received many state honors including two Seals of Excellence and first place junior team overall in horse judging. She also received many top awards at the county level such as bottle-bucket champion calf, champion market steer, junior sheep showman and champion intermediate horse judging. She also has been the treasurer and secretary of her 4-H club.


“4-H has helped me learn to always try my best and never give up,” said Foley.


Foley is a sophomore at Ballard High School.
