2007 State 4-H Project Award Winners Announced

10/8/2007

AMES, Iowa -- Fifty-one state 4-H project award winners were recently announced.

“A state 4-H project award is the highest achievement 4-H’ers can receive in project work. It indicates that they not only have mastered skills in that particular area, but also have shared their knowledge through presentations, workshops or helping others. In addition, 4-H project award winners must convey what they’ve gained in their project through a rigorous area and state application and interview process.”

This year 23 4-H’ers earned project awards in citizenship, leadership and communication; 17 earned awards in animal projects; four earned awards in clothing; three earned awards in crops or horticulture; two earned awards in science, engineering and technology; one earned an award in child development and one earned an award in visual arts (photography).
