Clarion Festival Hosts Dignitaries, Candidates -- Honors 4-H Clover Birthday

AMES, Iowa -- Clarion hosts Lt. Gov. Patty Judge, representatives for presidential candidates Sens. Chris Dodd and Tommy Thompson and other elected officials as it kicks off its two-day Festival in the Park, Saturday, June 9. The festival also will celebrate the 100th birthday of the 4-H Clover, which was born at a one-room school house in Clarion when school children picked four-leaf clovers to present to Superintendent of Schools O. H. Benson.
