AMES, Iowa - The Iowa Manure Management Action Group (IMMAG) has unveiled a new Web site and a new link to the new site. The newly revised IMMAG Web site now can be found at: http://www.agronext.iastate.edu/immag/homepage.html. The old site will continue to work by referring users to the new site.
“After 10 years, it was time for a major overhaul of the IMMAG Web site,” says Angie Rieck-Hinz, Iowa State University Extension program specialist and Web site manager.
“Users will find that the navigation buttons have not changed much, but the content of the site is better organized to help users find the information they are looking for.”
Major changes to the site include updating the “Publications and Reports” page to be better organized and to highlight Iowa publications and research work being done in Iowa. Other changes include updates to the “Plans, Permits and Regulations” page and the addition of more reference material. In the future, users will have access to a new “Frequently Asked Questions” document.
The Iowa Manure Management Action Group was initiated 10 years ago with the goal of providing a comprehensive and coordinated approach to manure management issues in Iowa. The members of IMMAG include: Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), Iowa Environmental Council, Agribusiness Association of Iowa, Iowa Farm Bureau, Iowa Pork Producers Association, Iowa Cattlemen's Association, Iowa Poultry Association, Iowa Turkey Federation, Iowa State Dairy Association, Conservation Districts of Iowa, Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, Iowa Commercial Nutrient Applicators Association, Iowa Beef Center, Iowa Pork Industry Center, Iowa State University Extension and the College of Agriculture.
