Cass County 4-H Member Receives Orscheln 4-H Scholarship
AMES, Iowa -- A $1,000 scholarship has been awarded to a Cass County 4-H member. Amy Williamson, Wiota, has received an Orscheln 4-H Scholarship sponsored by Orscheln, Inc.
Williamson, a 10-year 4-H member, is the daughter of David and Julie Williamson. She has participated most actively in the project areas of food and nutrition, beef and photography. On the state level, she has received an award for county representative to state fashion revue competition. She served as president, vice-president and treasurer of her 4-H club. She was also a member in her county 4-H council, area 4-H council and county youth committee. She also attended the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference.
“It has been through my participation in 4-H that I have developed my interest in food science as my chosen career path,” Williamson said.
Williamson is a graduate of CAM High School and plans to major in food science at Iowa State University.
