AMES, Iowa -- A $500 scholarship has been awarded to a Palo Alto County 4-H member. Miranda Rouse, Ruthven, has received a Prestage-Stoecker Farms 4-H Scholarship sponsored by Stoecker Farms, Inc.
Rouse, an eight-year 4-H member, is the daughter of Shelley and Kevin Rouse. She has participated most actively in the project areas of cattle, swine and food and nutrition. On the county level, she has received awards for outstanding 4-Her, achievement, and agriculture. She served as vice-president and secretary of her 4-H club. She was also a member in her county 4-H council, area 4-H council and was a youth fair board member. She also attended the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference.
“I have always loved animals,” Rouse said. “Through 4-H I was able to expand my knowledge and love for animals, and I was able to share that knowledge with others.”
Rouse is a graduate of Emmetsburg High School and plans to major in veterinary medicine at Iowa State University.
