Sac County 4-H Member Receives Schulte 4-H Scholarship
AMES, Iowa -- A $500 scholarship has been awarded to a Sac County 4-H member. Amanda Clark, Schaller, has received the Schulte 4-H Scholarship sponsored by Florine and Ron Swanson.
Clark, an eight-year 4-H member, is the daughter of Scott and Linda Clark. She has participated most actively in the project areas of visual arts, photography and working exhibits. On the county level, she has received awards for visual arts and working exhibits and club skits. She served as photographer, vice-president and historian of her 4-H club. She was also a member in her county 4-H council, area 4-H council and attended the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference.
“4-H has provided me with many learning experiences and opportunities,” Blake said. “The community service projects we have done in my club and on county council have made me realize there are many less fortunate people in the world that could use my help.”
Clark is a graduate of Schaller-Crestland High School and is planning to major in elementary education at the University of Northern Iowa.
In Iowa, the 4-H program is a part of Iowa State University Extension and headquartered on the ISU campus in Ames. For more information about 4-H, how to get involved, or how to apply for a 4-H scholarship contact the local county office of ISU Extension.
