Apply for 4-H Scholarships by Feb. 1


AMES, Iowa— More than 90 scholarships totaling nearly $100,000 are available in 2007 to Iowa 4-H’ers through the Iowa 4-H Foundation.
Applications are due on or before Feb. 1, 2007, to 4-H Scholarships, Extension 4-H Youth Bldg., ISU, Ames, Iowa 50011-3630.

Awards range from $500 to $3,200. Some awards are open to students pursuing any field of study; others are designated for agriculture, food and nutrition, ag business, animal science and journalism degree candidates. Former Iowa 4-H'ers and current 4-H'ers graduating from high school are eligible applicants.
The majority of the scholarships are earmarked for students attending Iowa State University. Some scholarships also are available to students attending other Iowa  universities, private colleges or community colleges.
