AMES, Iowa – During summer 2007 the Iowa 4-H Center will offer several sessions that allow youth and adults of all ages to experience camp.
Bring a Big Person focuses on campers spending quality time with their over-18 adults. This camp, for youth ages 6 to 11 and adults 18 and over, offers a variety of activities such as creek walks, canoeing, wall climbing and swimming. Night activities will include such camp favorites of campfires and songs. The two-night, three-day session is offered in air-conditioned Elm Lodge.
Family camp fits the schedule for those in a time crunch. Offered to all ages, the camp runs the weekend of July 27-29. The weekend includes activities for younger campers, adventures for older campers and other activities the entire family can enjoy.
Mother-Daughter Getaway allows the girls to escape for a weekend. The camp includes such activities as spa events, scrapbooking, campfires and tea-time. Experience the great outdoors while renewing the mother-daughter bond.
Father-Son Weekend is a chance for the guys to spend the weekend tackling new skills. Dads and sons can enjoy archery, swimming, climbing, shooting sports and campfires. Experience father-son bonding and explore the center’s pristine setting.
