AMES, Iowa -- The Iowa Woodland Owners Association (IWOA) Annual Fall Conference will be Sept. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wickiup Hill Linn County Conservation Learning Center located between Palo and Cedar Rapids. Several topics will be discussed including:

• invasive plants
• oak tatters
• emerald ash borer
• forest and prairie management and
• woodland burning basics

The registration fee includes morning refreshments, lunch and a chance for some door prizes. To pre-register, mail your $15 fee (check payable to IWOA) by Sept. 9, to Harlan Stientjes, 6000 Honey Grove Rd., Ely, Iowa, 52227. Registration at the door is $20.
