Black Hawk County 4-H’er Earns Clothing Project Award

AMES, Iowa – Amanda Repp of Black Hawk County received a state 4-H clothing project award that includes a $100 savings bond from the Iowa 4-H Foundation and the Zetta Lind Memorial. Repp, 18, is the daughter of Laura and Dave Miller of Cedar Falls.
During her 11 years in 4-H, Repp has completed several major projects including clothing, food and nutrition, dog, child development and communication. She has received state 4-H honors such as top 10 percent in the fashion revue and the sewing guild award. Along with these, Repp has received county-level awards in clothing, record keeping, dog and food and nutrition. She has been president, secretary and historian of her 4-H club. She has served on her county 4-H council and youth committee and participated in the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference.
“4-H has helped me with my communication skills, people skills and patience,” said Repp. “It has taught me to work towards my goals and not give up.”
Repp is a senior at Dike-New Hartford High School.
