Linn County 4-H’er Earns Swine Project Award

AMES, Iowa – Spencer Jordan of Linn County received a state 4-H swine project award that includes a $100 savings bond from the Iowa 4-H Foundation and the Mary Jo and Glen Mente Endowment. Jordan, 17, is the son of Jeff and Marcia Jordan of Marion.

 

During his years in 4-H, Jordan has completed several major projects including swine, beef, woodworking, citizenship and rocketry. He has received many state 4-H honors including swine and beef project awards, premier swine exhibitor and third place champion swine showman. Along with these, Jordan has received many county-level awards such as beef all around champion, champion swine showmanship, grand champion market beef and champion beef showman. He has been president, secretary and photographer of his 4-H club. Jordan also has served on his county 4-H council and has been a participant in the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference.

 

Jordan is a senior at Linn-Mar High School.
