Hamilton County 4-H Member Receives Pioneer 4-H Scholarship
AMES, Iowa – A $500 scholarship has been awarded to a Hamilton County 4-H member. Jacob Klaver, Kamrar, received a Pioneer Community College 4-H Scholarship sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred International.
Klaver, a nine-year 4-H member, is the son of Barry and Kristen Klaver. He has served as president, vice president and historian of his 4-H club. Klaver has participated most actively in the swine, horticulture and woodworking project areas.
“During my years in 4-H, I have had the opportunity to work with many different people in my community as well as my leaders, and have learned so much from all of them. From service projects to county fair projects, I learned so much about the agriculture industry,” Klaver said. “This has led me to pursue a career in agronomy.”
Klaver, a recent graduate of Northeast Hamilton High School, plans to attend Ellsworth Community College before enrolling at Iowa State University to study agronomy.
