AMES, Iowa – A $1,000 scholarship has been awarded to a Montgomery County 4-H member. Krista Frazee, Emerson, received an Orscheln 4-H Scholarship sponsored by Orscheln, Inc.
Frazee, a nine-year 4-H member, is the daughter of Will and Deb Frazee. She has served as president, vice president, secretary and historian of her 4-H club. Frazee has participated most actively in the beef, sheep, horse, clothing and citizenship project areas. She received an “I Dare You” Award, an Ak-Sar-Ben Award, Citizenship and Leadership Awards and a Record Book Award. She was also a Citizenship project award winner.
“4-H has taught me many things including leadership, citizenship and friendship,” Frazee said. “I have learned many new things and have continued to increase my knowledge of agriculture and its effects on everyday life.”
Frazee, a recent graduate of Red Oak High School, plans to attend Iowa State University to study public service administration in agriculture.
