Tekippe has won runner-up at the National 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl, Iowa 4-H Quiz Bowl Champion, and Iowa 4-H Individual Dairy Judging Champion. She received the "I Dare You" Award along with county agriculture and achievement awards. Tekippe has been her county's 4-H queen and was an area 4-H camp counselor.
"My 4-H experience taught me to be a leader and apply myself to the best of my ability," Tekippe said. "Youth are the future of agriculture and I hope to remain involved with youth programs to help ensure they see the possibilities agriculture has to offer."
Tekippe is currently attending Iowa State University, majoring in dairy science.
