Jackson County 4-H Member Receives Pioneer 4-H Scholarship
6/8/2006
AMES, Iowa – A $500 scholarship has been awarded to a Jackson County 4-H member. Veronica Cichowski, Oxford Junction, received a Pioneer Community College 4-H Scholarship sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred International.
Cichowski, a five-year 4-H member, is the daughter of Gay and Robert Cichowski. She has participated most actively in the horse, visual arts and photography project areas. Cichowski received a 4-H Achievement Award.
"4-H has allowed me to be closer to my horses and work harder on my art work. It also has helped me slowly overcome my shyness," Cichowski said. "My wish to become a vet is coming closer to being accomplished."
Cichowski, a recent graduate of Midland High School, plans to attend Kirkwood Community College.
