Iowa 4-H'ers to compete in 4-H Shooting Sports National Invitational

AMES, Iowa – Twenty Iowa 4-H’ers will compete in the 4-H Shooting Sports National Invitational in Rapid City, S.D. on June 26-29.

 

Competing on the air rifle team are Aaron Hill and Matthew Krauth of Worth County, and Brittney Tremmel and Brandi Lindemann of Keokuk County. Competing on the small bore rifle team are Cindy Smith, Christopher Krauth and M.J. Hulsing of Worth County, and Adam Reitz of Washington County.

 

Competing on the archery team are Adam Schilling, Chickasaw County; Aaron Meiners, Keokuk County; and Jessica Stewart and Dustin Keninger of Jasper County. Competing on the muzzleloading team are Bradley Luers, Bryant Luers, Ross Sieren and Ryan Weber, all of Keokuk County. Competing on the shotgun team are Marty Mueller, Matthew Stading and Ryan Mueller of Worth County and Justin Houseal of Washington County.

 

These youth qualified for the national invitational at the Senior 4-H Shooting Match and Qualifying Event in Sigourney in September 2005.  4-H’ers 14 and older were eligible to compete.

 

At the national invitational participants will have the opportunity to attend a welcoming dinner, barbecue, enjoy music from a DJ and attend award ceremonies.
