ISU Extension Offers Tree Steward Program

AMES, Iowa -- The Third Annual Community Tree Steward Workshop will be held Monday, Aug. 7. The program is open to the public and will be held at Pioneer Seed Company (Carver Hall) in Johnston.
This one-day event features speakers from Iowa State University (ISU) Extension Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Entomology and Animal Ecology along with experts from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Iowa Arborist Association, Trees Forever and Iowa Urban and Community Forestry Council.
The cost for the program is $30 per person, which includes educational materials, lunch and snacks. The program will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
