AMES, Iowa – Agricultural drainage design is the topic for a series of one-day workshops to be held throughout Iowa during the week of March 13.
“Producers looking to install a new drainage system or retrofit an existing system will want to attend this program,” said Matt Helmers, Iowa State University (ISU) Extension agricultural engineer. “The workshops will focus on drainage design, economics of drainage, water management, legal issues related to drainage and tips on choosing a contractor.”
The same workshop will be offered at five locations. All programs begin at 9:30 a.m. and adjourn at 3 p.m. The dates and locations are listed below.

Certified Crop Advisors can earn 1.5 Soil and Water Management CEUs for attending this program. The registration fee, including lunch and refreshments, is $30 for those registered through March 4.
