AMES, Iowa -- Corn rootworm management strategies will be one of the featured topics at the 2007 Crop Advantage Series. Sponsored by Iowa State University (ISU) Extension, this series will be held Jan. 4-31 at 12 locations around Iowa.
The rapid changes taking place in Iowa crop production require growers to be up-to-date on the latest information.
“The ISU Extension crop specialists have developed programs that offer information on timely topics such as corn rootworm management,” said Brent Pringnitz, coordinator, ISU Agribusiness Education Program.
”The other featured speaker is Palle Pedersen, ISU Extension soybean specialist. He will be discussing research results and what was learned from the Soybean High Yield Project.”
The remainder of the program will feature presentations on soil fertility, pest management, marketing and crop production issues specific to the area of the state where the program is being held. These topics are different at each of the twelve meetings in the series. A full listing of meetings and topics is available at www.cropadvantage.org
