Story County 4-H Member Receives Pioneer 4-H Scholarship

AMES, Iowa -- A $500 scholarship has been awarded to a Story County 4-H member. Nathan Holl, Nevada, has received a Pioneer Community College 4-H Scholarship sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc.

Holl, an eight-year 4-H member, is the son of Mike and Dianna Holl. He has participated most actively in the beef cattle and market pig project areas. He received a state-level third in class breeding heifer and sixth in class market steer. On the county level, he was awarded grand champion market beef, supreme breeding heifer, reserve grand champion gilt, and both senior and junior beef showman. He also served as vice president of his 4-H Club.

“4-H has influenced me in many ways,” said Holl, “by working with others and working hard to achieve my goals.”

Holl is currently attending Des Moines Area Community College to study Ag Business.
