Sac County 4-H'er Earns Citizenship Project Award

AMES, Iowa -- Mary Foell of Sac County received a state 4-H citizenship project award that includes a $100 savings bond from the Mary Jo and Glen Mente Endowment. Foell, 16, is the daughter of Bill and Laura Foell of Schaller.
During her nine years of 4-H involvement, Foell has completed several major projects including horticulture, citizenship, leadership, communication and crop production. She has served her local 4-H club as president, secretary, treasurer and reporter. Foell has served on her County, Area and the Iowa State 4-H Councils. She has also attended as a delegate the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference/Animal Science Roundup in Ames, Iowa. Foell has received a state 4-H horticulture project award. She has also received her county's record book award.
"As a person who believes in to whom much is given, much is expected andI have tried to make this a theme I live by," said Foell. "As I have participated in service projects and activities, I take the time to look back at my experiences and realize that I may have made a difference in someone's life."
Foell is a junior at Schaller-Crestland High School.
