AMES, Iowa -- Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids and the Iowa School for the Deaf in Council Bluffs will serve as sites for the Fall 2005 Greenhouse Growers’ Continuing Instructional Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators. Participation in the full program will qualify as Iowa pesticide recertification training for 2005 in categories 3G, 3O, 7E, and 10 (greenhouse, ornamental, wood preservatives and research and demonstration). The CIC is sponsored by Iowa State University Extension Pest Management and the Environment (PME) Program, Department of Entomology and the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship.
The CIC will be offered on Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Washington Hall, Room 104, Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids, and on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Career Building, Board Room, 2nd floor, Iowa School for the Deaf, Council Bluffs.
The registration fee is $30 per person for Iowa pesticide recertification. The fee is $15 per person for those wishing to participate without recertification.
