Howard County 4-H Member Receives Lloyd, Inc. 4-H Scholarship


AMES, Iowa -- A $1,000 scholarship has been awarded to a Howard County 4-H member. Amy Humpal, Ames, received a Lloyd, Inc. 4-H Scholarship sponsored by Lloyd, Inc.

Humpal is the daughter of Cletus and Maxine Humpal and was an eight-year 4-H member. She served as treasurer and secretary of her 4-H club. Humpal participated most actively in the clothing, horse and pony, food and nutrition, photography and visual arts project areas and received county record book awards.

Humpal attends Iowa State University (ISU) where she will be a senior in animal science and a first-year student in the College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of the ISU Dairy Science Club, Equestrian Club and Postsecondary Agricultural Student Organization. Humpal also volunteers with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine.
