Emmet County 4-H Member Receives Pioneer Community College 4-H Scholarship

AMES, Iowa -- A $500 scholarship has been awarded to an Emmet County 4-H member. Sarah Enerson, Estherville, received a Pioneer Community College 4-H Scholarship sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc.

Enerson, a nine-year 4-H member, is the daughter of Arvin and Anna Enerson. She has served as vice president, secretary, treasurer and reporter of her 4-H club. Enerson has participated most actively in the agriculture, horse, plant production, veterinary science and home improvement project areas. She has served on her county 4-H council and attended the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference and the Citizenship-Washington Focus conference.

"4-H has influenced me as a person to develop my communication and leadership skills," Enerson said. "It also has let me do experiments and work and learn more in my future field."

Enerson is a senior at Estherville Lincoln Central High School. She plans to attend Iowa Lakes Community College to study agriculture production technology.
