Davis County 4-H Member Receives Pioneer Community College 4-H Scholarship

AMES, Iowa -- A $500 scholarship has been awarded to a Davis County 4-H member. Nathan Price, Bloomfield, received a Pioneer Community College 4-H Scholarship sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc.

Price, a nine-year 4-H member, is the son of Ronald and Pamela Price. He has served as treasurer of his 4-H club. Price has participated most actively in the sheep, swine, beef, poultry and horticulture project areas. He has exhibited sheep at the Iowa State Fair and won outstanding awards for his sheep record book.

"Participating in 4-H taught me how to set goals and how to meet them. I learned how to keep financial records by completing my record book each year," Price said. "4-H is a great way for young people to experience responsibility."

Price is a senior at Davis County Community High School. He plans to attend Indian Hills Community College to major in bioprocess technology.
