Those interested in learning the benefits of conservation systems, equipment considerations, economics of conservation systems, conservation systems and water quality, and Conservation Security Program should attend these field days offered by the Iowa Learning Farm.
The field day program is part of the educational effort of the Iowa Learning Farm project for promoting and demonstrating conservation practices. The project demonstrates and promotes conservation management systems with an emphasis on conservation tillage, cropping systems and nutrient management across Iowa, while promoting an efficient agriculture.
This five-year project is a partnership effort between Iowa State University Extension and Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, Iowa Department of Natural Resources and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service in cooperation with Conservation Districts of Iowa and Iowa Farm Bureau Federation.
