AMES, Iowa -- A satellite program presenting information and answering questions about Asian soybean rust will be held March 11 from 10 a.m. to noon. The program will feature Iowa State University Extension experts and representatives from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship and the Iowa Soybean Association.
The purpose of the two-hour program is to present a status report on the disease and allow time for questions from viewers. Several experts will provide short presentations followed by question and answer periods.
The program is being coordinated by the Iowa Soybean Rust Team, which was formed in 2003 to prepare Iowa producers for the disease. The program is designed for Iowa soybean producers and agriculture professionals but will contain information useful to anyone interested in soybean production.
Questions can be submitted by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or by fax to (515) 294-7767. Please include "Asian Soybean Rust Program" in the subject line. Submitted questions will help determine the focus of the program.
