United Way of Muscatine has started a new program with Blue Zones project called Food Policy.  The Food Policy group wanted to collect canning supplies for those who have the supplies and are not using them anymore to give to those who want to start canning.  The group then is pairing with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach to provide a canning class to help those preserve their fruit and vegetable produce so they can be enjoyed throughout the year.
