Are you Passionate about gardening and volunteering?  You may want to consider becoming a Master Gardener.  Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be providing the Master Gardener Core Training in the fall of 2015.  Muscatine County Extension will be offering the training.

Gardeners are encouraged to join us this summer to learn about theme gardens, planting trough gardens, water features and conservation, attracting butterflies and bees, and growing herbs through three scheduled webinars.  

Water Rocks
May 7, 2015

The Water Rocks! team, a partner of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, takes the Conservation Station to the Muscatine Farmers Market. The Rainfall Simulator will be on display and there are learning activities for all. Visitors to the Conservation Station can learn how everyone can do their part to help preserve and protect soil and water--essential natural resources. The free, fun, hands-on activities and demonstrations for kids and adults teach about watersheds and the effects of rainfall on the land. Water Rocks! is a statewide youth water education campaign that uses a variety of resources to bring awareness and appreciation of water.
