Dana Yerington has joined the Muscatine County 4-H Youth Team on June 16 serving as a part-time K-12 Outreach Educator. Dana will be responsible for reaching new and underserved audiences in after-school, camp, and school programming as well as assisting with workshops and other support to our 4-H club memebers, families, and volunteers.
Muscatine County Extension is seeking a 4H AmeriCorps Community Outreach Educator to conduct programs for positive youth development activities with the afterschool Clover Kids programming. This may include afterschool, summer and holiday breaks or inschool settings.

On April 15 all Iowans are encouraged to wear purple to show their appreciation for military children and their families. During April, the Month of the Military Child, and throughout the year Iowa State University Extension and Outreach has resources for military families.
Members of the Lake 4-H Club in Muscatine County collected more than 1,000 empty, non-recyclable dog food and other livestock feed bags to turn them into something useful for the people of Haiti who have been devistated with storms and earthquakes. The bags can become tarps or they can become bags with handles and be made very useful to them. ServeHAITI representatives will deliver the bags to Haiti where they will be put to good uses.
