Seeking K-12 Outreach Educator
April 16, 2014

Muscatine County Extension is seeking a person who will extend and support the 4-H Youth Development Program in Muscatine County.  This person will be responsible for developing positive youth development programming and building partnerships for enhanced informal educational opportunities with priorities in STEM, Healthy Living, Citizenship/Leadership and Arts/Communication.

Muscatine County Extension is offering the Homegrown Lifestyle course which is a 12-week Extension short course for folks eager to reconnect to the land, grow their own food, and create a sustainable personal farmscape. Weekly sessions will consist of webinars taught by state specialists and locally-coordinated activities at each site. The course also includes visits to local farms and gardens to experience sustainable food production first hand.
