11/24/2009- Master Gardener Training-Muscatine County
Fall-2009 Master Gardener Training will be held in Muscatine County. To attend, you would need to have been pre-registered or be a Master Gardener. The 12-session training will be held on Tuesday evenings, 6:30 until 9:30 at the Muscatine County Extension Office and also one Saturday session at the ISU Campus in Ames. 12/01/2009- Fumigation Continuing Instruction Course
Fumigation Continuing Instruction Course via Satellite will be offered for Certified Applicators. Applicators should pre-register for the course--fee is $35. A $10 late fee will be charged after November 24.

12/02/2009- Commercial Pest Control Operators CIC
Commercial Pest Control Operator Continuing Instruction Course will be offered for Certified Applicators in Categories 7A, 7B, 8, and 10. Applicators should pre-register for the course--fee is $60. A $10 late fee will be charged after November 25.

12/12/2009- Muscatine County 4-H & FFA Market-Beef Project Weigh-in
Muscatine County 4-H and FFA market-beef project weigh-in is for 2010 4-H and FFA animals enrolled in the market-beef project area, including returning bucket calves, to show them in a market class at the 2010 Muscatine County Fair.

01/06/2010- 2010 Commercial Manure Applicator Certification
Commercial manure applicators can receive the three hours of annual continuing instruction required to maintain their manure applicator certification on Wednesday, January 6, 2010, from 9 a.m. to noon. 01/22/2010- Confinement Site Manure Applicator Training
Confinement site (private) manure applicator certification. Continuing education to maintain or begin certification as a confinement site manure applicator in Iowa. By attending the workshop, participants will learn about land application rules, manure agitation safety, and nutrient management issues.
