By attending the workshop, participants will learn about land application rules, manure agitation safety, and nutrient management issues.

At the conference, discussion will be held how to develop a sense of place and build communites that connect people with nature.

The 2012 Tri-State Forest Stewardship Conference is Saturday, March 10 at Sinsinawa Mound Center, Sinsinawa, Wis. One of the largest private woodland owner conferences in the nation, it  will cover a wide range of forestry and wildlife topics including timber marketing in today’s economy.

Second Farmland Drainage Workshop to Be Held Jan. 30

An ISU Extension and Outreach workshop will examine various aspects of farmland drainage on Jan. 30 at Big Ed’s Firehouse in New Hampton. The program that begins 9 a.m. and adjourns at 3:30 p.m. has been scheduled due to an overwhelming interest in a December workshop.
Virtual Eco Family Conference Connects Families to the Environment

Iowa families throughout the state will be getting together — virtually — once a month from January through June for an Eco Family Conference from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. It’s an opportunity for families to improve the environment, reduce their carbon footprint and create community close to home.
