2010 Confinement Site Manure Applicator Certification

Confinement site (private) manure applicator certification will be offered by Muscatine County Extension. Continuing education to maintain or begin certification as a confinement site manure applicator in Iowa. By attending the workshop, participants will learn about land application rules, manure agitation safety, and nutrient management issues.

2010 Commercial Manure Applicator Certification Offered in Muscatine

Certified Commercial Manure applicators may attend a recertification satellite downlink to maintain their applicator certification. Muscatine County Extension will be offering the program on January 6.

2009-2010 Private Pesticide Applicator Recertification in Muscatine County

Private Pesticide Applicators may attend the recertification program in Muscatine. Private applicators who have become certified may attend a CIC session each year or retest and pass the certification test every three years. If you miss one year of CIC programs, Iowa law requires that you retest when your certification expires.

Overall Women Conference--February 4-5, 2010

Women involved in or affected by agriculture are invited to attend the sixth annual Overall Women Conference, February 4-5, 2010. The conference, coordinated by Iowa State University Extension, will return to the Isle Casino Hotel in Bettendorf.
