The Iowa State Fair ends in success...

What a fun ten days at the Iowa State Fair. We hope everyone got a chance to get out and see the wonderful event, as well as the 4-H Truck. The truck crew started off outside the 4-H Building, but after a few days we realized ticket sales went much better if we were inside the building. Our grand total ticket sales for the State Fair were 450! We appreciate all of the State Council helpers as well as our great volunteers from Harrison County, Jackson County and Calhoun County. You all did a great job helping your county and the state foundation raise money. A BIG thank you! :)

We are currently selling tickets at the Farm Progress Show, with today being the last day. Next Saturday will be the Pufferbilly Days in Boone where the truck will be in the parade and around after to sell tickets. On Sunday the truck will be at the great Clay County Fair in Spencer for an entire week. Be sure to stop by and see us there!

After the Iowa State Fair, ticket sales are now marked up to a total of 1450! This is a great number but there is still room for plenty more. Stop and check us out at our next few stops to buy your tickets and see the truck!

Now that county fair trips have come close to an end (Clay County Fair and Guthrie County Fair are still yet to come), we are ready to sell at the Iowa State Fair. Be sure to come visit us while you are there; we are located at the north entrance of the 4-H Exhibit Building.

Hours for selling raffle tickets August 7-17 are as follows:
Sunday-Thursday: 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Friday-Saturday: 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Also on Wednesday, August 6, the truck will make a special appearance in the Iowa State Fair Parade.

We will see you at the fair! :)
