Tonight I"m watching the first round of the US Open. I love to watch tennis, but I don't watch as much as I did when I was younger. I don't know the players too well any more and haven't kept up. But tonight I get to watch Agassi play Pavel. Andre has always been a favorite and I became even more of a fan when he battled back into the game a few years ago.
Andre Agassi is playing his last US Open (his 21st). I hope he does well, but either way, I will enjoy watching him play.
My favorite match was watching Jimmy Connor (my favorite player) make it to the semi-finals in 1991.
So, this really isn't new... in fact I played with Pandora when it was in its early stages. But I read an article on Pandora in the paper (yep, getting my news from the news) and I came back to check it out.
So I started Pandora at http://www.pandora.com/ and then entered "ColdPlay" for my band of choice. It works pretty darn well. Simple and then it matches the style of music to create a virtual radio station.
I love this approach. I've always wanted a simple way to find new music and new groups that fit my musical interests.
Simple and functional... nice.
I need to continue to play with Pandora and get a feel for all its features.
I'm trying out Vista. I got a new computer and I decided to live life on the cutting edge. So far so good. I really like it although I have run into a few quirks. I haven't experienced any real reliability problems... yet. I will need to get use to the Office 2007 interface that I have also loaded - yep, I'm such a risk taker. Everything is very visual.
Overall, after three days, I give it a thumbs up. Time will tell.
Good question... let me get back to you on that.
Its been a busy summer, but I've really just been unavailable (in too many ways).
But I'm back now.
