Web Enrollment Discussion Question 4
Hmmm. My responses are dwindling. I'm going to post a few more questions over the next week or so to help bolster my numbers!! It's incredibly important to me that you provide "in the trenches" guidance for me as we work towards our goal of having a web-based enrollment system that fits YOUR needs, so speak up. Today's question is pretty simple, but I do want some direction from you for possible changes.
Do you use the Member Charts option under the Utilities menu? Whether or not you're using them now, do you think that these particular charts are useful? Are there other simple charts that you would find MORE useful? When I say "simple charts", I mean primarily those that only sort by one variable. The charts under the Utilities menu take the group of records and sort by one variable (grade, residence, etc.) for each chart.
While we're talking about charts, also take a look at the options under Reports>>Statistical Reports>>Member/Leader statistical. What combinations would be more useful than the ones that are listed there?

I don't use the member charts and only use the Statistical once a year, so they are both fine as is for me!!

I do like the member charts under the utilities menu it is a quick way for me to pull up numbers when asked. I would use grade/gender more under the Reports>> statistical reports>>member leader stats rather than age /gender.

I do use the Statistical reports periodically during the year. I don't use the member charts - utilities menu.

I use the member charts as a YFS to add to power points and reports to Extension Councils and Youth committees and to track progress for county enrollment growth goals.

I do use the reports but can not think of any changes I'd like to see. I also talked to my YFS and there were some charts they will use now that they know the reports are available.

I have not used the Member Charts under the Utilities menu but they look like fine charts to use. I only use the Reports once a year so I don't use them enough to even know what parameters I would use more.
But I do have a request and that is to have cell phone #'s added on the enrollment form. Can this be done? Or is this something I should do?
Becky: You can store the cell phone in any of the parent fields. One request that I have made of all new systems that I have seen is to add a phone field to the member screen, allowing you to keep the individual cell phone number stored there. In any new system, we'll be designing a new enrollment form, so this will be part of that discussion. THANKS!!
