Web Enrollment Discussion Question 3
Here's a new topic that will hopefully generate lots of discussion!
We've all heard about the genie and the three wishes. If I was the genie, and you could have your top THREE wishes for improvements or additions to the 4-H enrollment system, what would they be?
It's important to me not only to know what you want, but also how many people ALSO want that same thing... so just because someone else has "already said what I was going to say", don't opt out. Post your comment. This is your chance to get to help influence some of the features we are going to look/ask for in a new system, and it's sure better to know this NOW before it's a done deal, rather than trying to negotiate changes after the ink is dry!!
Comments
1. Publications to automatically be ordered fo r the kids and sent to either the family or club. It can be done once or twice during the year.
2. online payment options
3. a way for the leader or kids to print what the have signed up for

1) More specific groupings of leaders (ie. superintendents not listed as resource leaders to help with mailing lists)
2) Automatic updating from cloverbud to member based on grade????...
3) ...I'll keep you posted...
You said you were a genie, right!! ;)

Dear Genie,
hear are my 3 wishes:
~Have the ability to print re-enrollment forms more than 1 time.
~Be able to add/format additional information on re-enrollment form.
~Endless wishes.
Since the last one probably won't count, I like the idea of having literature automatically ordered (and sent to the 4-H family) once it is added to the database.

Thank you for asking. Here are a few thoughts...
1) When printing labels, have a "starting label" option. The first label on a sheet is #1 and it goes top to bottom, left to right. So if I print 3 random labels using the Member Query, I'm not wasting sheets of labels and can begin on a pre-used sheet starting at postion #7 or wherever.
2) Date a new 4-Her joins that is mm/dd/yyyy. Right now its just yyyy. Our darlings straggle in all year long. So my 4-H leaders ask, "who has joined in the last two weeks?" because we need to get livstock IDs to them. (Date last modified does not work, because even longtime members may recently have been modified.)
3) I agree with re-enrollment forms needing more information.
Thanks for listening!

Oops. Well, I have 4...
4) A way where we can check "ID submitted" for a 4-Her who is showing livestock. That way we can run a report (like fee paid) that shows who hasn't turned in their Livestock ID.

1. publications automatically ordered and sent to club leader
2. print re-enrollment forms more than once (maybe set it up so anyone listed as "inactive" can be printed)
3. make the enrollment form and health form fit on one sheet of paper

Hi, I must be the minority, but I don't have any wishes. Don't want the program to do so much that it does my job for me. I need this job. ;-)
