Young Volunteers Needed for LIFE Program

The Montgomery County Extension office is looking for volunteers between the ages of 16-26 for the LIFE program that will start in January.  LIFE stands for Living (well through) Intergenerational Fitness and Exercise.  This unique program is led by younger adults to increase access for older rural populations to sustainable, low-cost physical activity programming.  This is a fun opportunity to have an impact on the health of others--using an X-Box Kinect system!

Volunteers would commit to a two hour training in addition to 2 one-hour sessions a week for 8 weeks.  If you would like more information or are interested in being a volunteer, please contact Stephanie Langner, Program Coordinator for Montgomery County Extension at 623-2592 or slangner@iastate.edu More information about this program can also be found at www.extension.iastate.edu/life
