Small Steps to Health and Wealth

Saving money, eating right, staying active -- even when you know the “right thing” to do, it’s hard to change your habits, isn’t it?  If you are looking for ideas on how to succeed with making the changes you WANT to make,   ISU Extension and Outreach, Montgomery County has a workshop that can help!

“Small Steps to Health and Wealth” is a 2-part workshop that will be offered January 8, 2013 and January 15, 2013 at the ISU Extension and Outreach office, Montgomery County in Red Oak. Each session will include practical strategies and tips that can help you succeed.  Workshop leaders will be Barb Fuller, ISU Extension and Outreach Nutrition and Health Specialist and Mary Beth Kaufman, ISU Extension and Outreach Family Finance Specialist.

Even though they seem like very different goals, staying healthy and building financial security have a great deal in common.  They both require making small behavior changes that over the long term have great impact. The first workshop will focus on application of strategies to health; the second will introduce new strategies with a focus on financial application.  Participants will select 3 or 4 strategies to implement as part of a personal action plan.

To help plan for the workshops, you are asked to register by January 4, 2013. The workshops will run from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.  Early registration for both sessions will cost $15.  Registration at the door will be $10 for each workshop attended.   Registration forms are available at the ISU Extension and Outreach office, Montgomery County in Red Oak, 712-623-2592. Space is limited, register today.
