Become a Babysitter Class Offered for Area Youth
Youth 5th grade and older are invited to register for “Become A Babysitter”, a 2 day training being offered by the Montgomery County Extension Office. Dates for the training are May 11th and May 18th, both days from 9 a.m. to noon. Classes will be held at the Extension Office at 400 Bridge Street. Both sessions must be attended in order to receive the training certificate.
Topics covered will include taking care of an infant, disciplining, nutritious snacks, appropriate toys, child development stages and medical emergencies.
Cost for the 2 day class is $15. Pre-registration is required, and class size is limited to 25. Registrations are due by May 6th. You can register by calling the Montgomery County Extension Office at 712-623-2592.
