Other Livestock Resources
Livestock Identification
May 15th is the livestock and animal identification deadline. Most livestock must be identified or verified on the individual member's 4hOnline profile prior to 11:59 p.m. on May 15th. This deadline includes:
- Beef
- Dogs
- Goats
- Horses
- Sheep
- Swine
Rabbits will need to be tattooed and identified on 4hOnline by June 15th. Poultry will need to be identified by June 15th.
All 4-H livestock must be identified in 4hOnline for eligibility to exhibit at the Montgomery County Fair. Please visit the Iowa 4-H Livestock ID page for help sheets, verification forms, and more.
All FFA exhibitors must ID their livestock with their FFA advisor before entering them in Fair Entry.
YQCA
All 4-H and FFA exhibitors showing beef, sheep, swine, goats, rabbits, and/or poultry must provide a copy of their current YQCA Certificate. Please e-mail to xmontgomery@iastate.edu.
