The Monroe County Extension Office has a community educational vegetable garden on their premises.  This garden is used for teaching food production and horticulture to various groups and is open to the public for viewing and information.

The Leopold Center has been working on four new videos about the importance of local food -- for Iowa  communities, farmers, young people and our landscape.  The series is called "Why Local? Why Now?"
