The Monroe County Fishing Club recently held its first fall outing on Tuesday, September 15th in conjunction with the early dismissal from Albia Community School District. The group consisted of 17 young anglers in grades 4th-6th along with a great group of volunteers. The volunteers that helped with the fishing event included Pat Sinnott, John Schoolen, Hjalmer Lindberg, Jo Runnells, Mike Runyan, CJ Hughes, Steve Thomas, and Richie Runnells, Youth Leader. The group fished and enjoyed the afternoon at a pond located near Lovilia. The next outing for this group is scheduled for Wednesday, Octoer 21st from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and there are a few more openings for new members.
